According to the classification of the National Institute of Public Health, the water from the thermal well is an alkaline hydrogen-carbonate and chloride thermal water with a high mineral content. Due to its significant iodide content, it is classified among iodine-rich mineral waters. The water has been officially registered as a recognized medicinal thermal water by the Ministry of Health since 1967. It also contains notable levels of fluoride and silicic acid, further contributing to its beneficial properties.
Important Information
Due to its chemical composition, the medicinal thermal water is suitable for bathing cures, drinking cures, and – in atomized form – inhalation therapy. These treatments may be beneficial for the following groups of conditions:
Thermal Water Therapy for Musculoskeletal Conditions
- Medicinal thermal water bathing therapy may be beneficial in the following cases:
- degenerative bone and joint disorders, chronic inflammatory joint and muscle conditions (including rheumatic diseases), post-treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries caused by accidents; in gynecology, for the treatment of chronic inflammatory conditions. Before starting bathing therapy for musculoskeletal conditions, it is strongly recommended to consult your treating physician.
Thermal Water Therapy for Respiratory Conditions
Medicinal thermal water therapy may be beneficial in the following cases: treatment of chronic bronchitis (e.g. smoker’s bronchitis), certain cases of pulmonary emphysema, chronic diseases of the nasal cavity, throat and sinuses (in the form of inhalation therapy or steam treatment), under regular medical supervision.
Drinking Cure for Digestive Disorders
The medicinal thermal water may be used as a drinking cure in the following cases: chronic digestive disorders (such as low stomach acid, excessive stomach acid, and chronic intestinal conditions), prevention of tooth decay in children, certain thyroid conditions and early-stage arteriosclerosis (under medical supervision).
DUE TO THE FLUORIDE CONTENT OF THE WATER, PROLONGED CONSUMPTION SHOULD NOT EXCEED 300 ML PER DAY.
Important Information
Domestic guests may be eligible to receive treatments financed by the Hungarian National Health Insurance Fund. The condition for this is a valid referral (issued within 30 days from the date of prescription), made out in the name of Flexum Zrt. Medical Bath, which can be issued by the rheumatology specialist responsible for the guest’s place of residence.
Health Insurance Fund–Financed Treatments
The Flexum Zrt. Medical Bath provides access to treatments financed by the Hungarian National Health Insurance Fund from Monday to Friday, between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM, excluding public holidays. Guests holding a public healthcare entitlement card may continue to receive Health Insurance Fund–financed treatments free of charge, upon presentation of a valid referral issued in the name of the Flexum Zrt. Medical Bath.
